Denture Services at Carvolth Dentistry

Whether you’re thinking of getting dentures or already have them, you probably have some questions. Dentures can simply be thought of as artificial teeth and gums. A Dentist can custom design dentures to replace removed or lost natural teeth. Together, we can discuss if dentures are a suitable option for you and if you would be better suited for partial or full dentures. If you’re looking to get dentures from an experienced dentist in Langley, Carvolth Dentistry is ready to serve your needs. Dentures can help you feel better about your appearance, allow you to eat the foods you want, have a comfortable smile and often are a more affordable option that implants or bridges.

Dentists recognize that each patient has unique needs and concerns. Personalized care plans are developed to address individual dental health goals and preferences. Dentists also educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and offer advice on diet and lifestyle choices that can impact oral health.

Dentures at Carvolth Dentistry: Complete and Partial Options for a Full Smile

There are two main types of dentures: complete and partial. Complete dentures are designed to replace all teeth in an arch and can be either immediate or traditional. Immediate dentures are made in advance and placed immediately after teeth are removed, providing a temporary solution until the gums heal. Traditional dentures are placed 8 to 12 weeks after teeth removal, allowing the gums to heal fully before the dentures are fitted. Our dentist will help recommend the most suitable option based on your needs.

Partial dentures are ideal when one or more teeth need replacing, and they can be attached to a gum-colored plastic base or a metal frame. These dentures are often recommended when some natural teeth remain, helping to fill the gaps left by missing teeth. Partial dentures not only improve your smile’s appearance but also prevent your remaining teeth from shifting into the space. They offer a more natural-looking and comfortable solution, and they are removable with internal attachments for a secure fit.

Snap-On Dentures: A Secure, Comfortable Solution for Missing Teeth

Snap-on dentures are a type of removable denture that are designed to fit securely over a set of dental implants. These dentures use a specialized attachment system, where the denture “snaps” into place on the implants, providing a much more stable and comfortable fit compared to traditional dentures. This design allows for improved chewing function, reduced slippage, and a more natural feel.

Frequently Asked Questions

Dentures are removable dental appliances used to replace missing teeth and restore the appearance and function of your smile. They come in two main types: complete dentures, which replace all teeth in an arch, and partial dentures, which replace only a few missing teeth.

Partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain in your mouth. They consist of one or more artificial teeth attached to a gum-colored plastic base or a metal frame. Partial dentures help fill the gap left by missing teeth and prevent the remaining teeth from shifting.

Snap-on dentures are a type of removable denture that attaches securely to dental implants. They "snap" into place, providing a more stable and comfortable fit compared to traditional dentures, and improve chewing function, comfort, and overall confidence.

Snap-on dentures are attached to dental implants placed in the jawbone. These implants act as anchors for the denture, allowing it to "snap" into place, providing a secure fit that eliminates slippage and enhances comfort and functionality.

Dentures and partial dentures may require an adjustment period as you get used to wearing them. However, they should not be painful. If discomfort persists, it’s important to visit your dentist for any necessary adjustments to ensure a proper fit.

Dr Aman did my implant, I was worried about this however he explained the procedure , the indication and other alternatives and spent his time replying to my questions. The implant went well. Dr Aman is a very Gentle dentist, he extracted a wisdom tooth with local freezing, every other Dentist wanted to put me under for that. He took his time doing it and asked me about my pain all through the procedure. His office staff are awesome as well.

Booked an emergency apt here for my partner, he was in so much pain he could not even speak. Reception was so friendly and helpful, and booked us an appointment for the next hour. We were seen quickly, and he received pain relief, and got a root canal in the same day. Dentist and assistant were extremely professional and kind.
