Dental Veneer Process

Guiding you to New Smile

01

Initial Appointment

The dentist examines the teeth and gums to ensure whitening is safe for the patient. A shade guide is used to record the current tooth color.

02

Application of Whitening Agent

A professional-strength whitening gel is applied to the teeth. The gel is carefully spread to ensure even coverage.

03

Activation of Whitening Gel

Zoom whitening treatments use a special light, laser, to enhance the bleaching process. The gel is left on for about 15–30 minutes, depending on the shades.

04

Post Treatment

The whitening gel is removed, and the teeth are rinsed. A fluoride treatment may be applied to reduce sensitivity. The dentist provides post-whitening care instructions, such as avoiding staining foods and drinks for 24–48 hours.

Expertise Experience

A Word From Dr. Amaan Kataria on Teeth Whiteneing

As a dentist, I always advise patients that teeth whitening is a safe and effective way to brighten their smile when done professionally. However, it’s important to have realistic expectations—whitening can lighten teeth but won’t make them perfectly white. The results also depend on factors like the natural shade of your teeth, diet, and habits like smoking or coffee consumption.

In-office whitening is the most effective and quickest option, providing noticeable results in just one visit. However, temporary sensitivity is common, and maintaining the results requires good oral hygiene and avoiding stain-causing foods and drinks.

For those considering whitening, I recommend a dental exam first to ensure there are no underlying issues like cavities or gum disease. Also, remember that restorations like crowns and fillings won’t whiten, so planning is essential for an even smile.

Learn More About Teeth whitening

Teeth whitening is a popular cosmetic dental procedure designed to lighten tooth color and remove stains. Here’s a detailed look at the process, types, benefits, risks, and maintenance tips.

Teeth whitening involves the use of bleaching agents, primarily hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide, which penetrate the enamel to break down stains and discoloration.

There are two types of stains:

  • Extrinsic stains – Surface stains caused by coffee, tea, red wine, smoking, or poor oral hygiene.
  • Intrinsic stains – Deeper stains within the tooth, often caused by aging, medications (e.g., tetracycline), or trauma.

Faq About Teeth Whitening

Yes, professional and at-home whitening treatments are generally safe when used as directed. However, overuse or improper application can cause sensitivity or gum irritation.

Results can last from six months to three years, depending on diet, oral hygiene, and lifestyle habits. Avoiding staining foods and drinks can help maintain whiteness.

Temporary sensitivity is common, especially with peroxide-based treatments. Using desensitizing toothpaste before and after whitening can help.

Not always. Whitening works best on natural teeth and may not be suitable for:

  • People with thin enamel or gum disease
  • Those with fillings, crowns, or veneers (which won’t whiten)
  • Individuals with severe intrinsic stains (e.g., tetracycline stains)

It depends on your goals and budget:

  • In-office whitening – Fastest and most effective (1 visit, dramatic results).
  • Custom trays from a dentist – Gradual whitening with professional supervision.
  • Over-the-counter strips or gels – Affordable but take longer to show results.

No, it’s best to treat any cavities or gum issues before whitening, as bleaching agents can worsen existing problems.

No, restorations (like crowns, veneers, and fillings) do not whiten. If you have visible restorations, you may need to replace them to match your newly whitened teeth.

Dr Aman did my implant, I was worried about this however he explained the procedure , the indication and other alternatives and spent his time replying to my questions. The implant went well. Dr Aman is a very Gentle dentist, he extracted a wisdom tooth with local freezing, every other Dentist wanted to put me under for that. He took his time doing it and asked me about my pain all through the procedure. His office staff are awesome as well.

Booked an emergency apt here for my partner, he was in so much pain he could not even speak. Reception was so friendly and helpful, and booked us an appointment for the next hour. We were seen quickly, and he received pain relief, and got a root canal in the same day. Dentist and assistant were extremely professional and kind.
